Board Engagement Programs
Serving as a board member on an arts and culture board is both challenging and rewarding. Leadership training specifically focused on the arts and culture sector increases prospective board member effectiveness in this critical leadership role. The Fine Arts Fund offers 2 paths to Board engagement, detailed below. Additionally, after the completion of training, all candidates are eligible to join a Board Bank as one route to becoming engaged.
BOARD ENGAGEMENT with BOARDway Bound (BWB)
Boardway Bound Hands-On (formerly Business on Board (BoB))
Experience a high-touch program that, through 15 hours of classroom training, provides all the tools you'll need to be a successful arts and culture board member. The program includes independent online learning, classroom experiences, and an observership with an organization. Best suited for professionals who are looking to increase their community and philanthropic impact.
BOARDway Bound On-Line
Online learning, combined with 6 hours of classroom training, orients business professional to arts and culture board leadership. Upon program completion, participants art eligible for memberships in the BOARDway Bound Board Bank. Best suited for professionals who are looking to increase their community and philanthropic impact and have a high potential for independent engagement with the arts and culture community.

BOARDway Bound Board Bank
The BOARDway Bond Board Bank program matches GREAT trained leaders with GREAT organizations in our arts and culture communities. Interested candidates will have graduated from a board leadership program sponsored by the Fine Arts Fund (such as BOARDway Bound or Business on Board), or a like leadership training program offered elsewhere in the community. If you are interested in working on an arts and culture board and have completed a training program please submit an application and profile. Interested Arts Organizations wanting online access to these profiles may submit an application, as indicated on the form, and will be contacted regarding the approval process.
