The Fine Arts Fund Diversity & Inclusion Philosophy
The Fine Arts Fund acknowledges and celebrates the diversity of the community we serve. We have a responsibility to foster inclusion for our patrons, their families and our volunteers. The Fine Arts Fund has a responsibility to support and strengthen culturally-diverse arts programming to ensure a more inclusive regional arts environment and promote the growth and viability of multicultural arts organizations as a way of enriching the region and growing participation in and patronage of the arts. Our commitment to our staff is to provide a workplace where each person is respected, supported and evaluated on the basis of individual achievement and contribution.
The Fine Arts Fund Diversity Committee
The Fine Arts Fund Diversity Committee, working in conjunction with the senior management team and staff of the Fine Arts Fund, recommends, develops and implements strategies and initiatives that support the diversity and inclusion goals of the Fine Arts Fund.
The arts in greater Cincinnati are uniquely positioned to encourage and promote the inclusion of all persons. The Fine Arts Fund, as the leading funder of the arts in the region, has the opportunity and a responsibility to engage diverse populations in the arts. Through our community-based allocations process, we encourage the organizations we work with to recognize and embrace the benefits of diversity and to act upon the values set forth in this statement.
The Fine Arts Fund recognizes the need and commits itself to develop policies, programs and practices which are responsive to the diverse groups in the region. It is committed to setting clear and measureable strategies and targets for supporting culturally-diverse arts organizations.
Advancing diversity and inclusion makes good business sense, in that it promotes fairness and equity throughout our geographic region. In addition, becoming more inclusive helps the Fine Arts Fund achieve its fundraising goals, enhances the technical-support capabilities of arts services, engages and develops growing audiences of diverse people, and joyfully celebrates the talent and variety of artistic disciplines available to the residents of greater Cincinnati.
The Fine Arts Fund values individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, sexual orientation, religion, cultural heritage, physical and mental abilities, age, economic circumstances or other differences.
The Fine Arts Fund Supplier Diversity Program
