Applications and Deadlines
The Arts Services staff is available to provide information on grant opportunities available to arts organizations from the Fine Arts Fund Grants Program and a variety of other grant resources. The Fine Arts Fund offers 5 types of grants:
Fine Arts Fund Operating Support Grants
Deadline: Monday, July 7, 2008.
Operating Support Grants are available to provide unrestricted support to smaller arts organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Eligibility requirements include, but are not limited to, three or more years of incorporated operation as an arts organization; proof of 501(c)(3) tax exempt status; and proof of fiscal responsibility. Please read Guidelines for additional requirements.
The maximum operating support request may not exceed 10% of an organization's operating expenses for the last fiscal year with a cap of $17,000. Organizations may reapply on an annual basis.
Eligible organizations not receiving Operating Support may submit an application to the Projects Grants program.
Operating Support is for the 12-month period beginning September 2008.
All Operating Support Grant recipients must submit an Evaluation Plan along with their letter-of-acceptance in order to receive their award. This Plan should be referred to when completing the Evaluation Report at the conclusion of the fiscal year.

Fine Arts Fund Project Grants
Deadline: Monday, August 4, 2008 or Monday, January 12, 2009.
Project Grants support special, one-time events that complement or expand upon the regular cultural programming of the applying organization. Any arts organization – regardless of budget size – not currently receiving a Fine Arts Fund Operating Support Grants is eligible to apply for a Project Grant. Non-arts organizations may also apply for Project Support provided it is intended to fund arts programming.
Organizations are limited to one grant per funding year: August 1 through July 31.
Grant requests may not exceed 50% of proposed project expenses. The applicant must provide at least one half of the total cost of the project through matching funds and/or some in-kind services.
No grant will exceed $10,000. Consideration for funding at $10,000 will be reserved for applications that have exceptional merit, a broad regional impact, or multiple collaborative partners.
Consideration will be given to funding Capital Purchases that are important to the continued operation of an organization.
All Project Support Grant recipients must submit an Evaluation Plan along with their letter-of-acceptance in order to receive their award. This Plan should be referred to when completing the Evaluation Report at the conclusion of the project.

Fine Arts Fund Multicultural Arts Capacity-Building Program
The application process is year-round.
Multicultural Arts Capacity-Building Program Grants are available to support and strengthen multicultural arts organizations in an area of need.
Eligibile organizations must be established and emerging culturally diverse organizations that have non-profit status or are non-profit in nature. Applicants should have, or be working toward, 501(c)(3) status.
The maximum multicultural arts capacity-building request may not exceed $10,000. Consideration for funding at $10,000 will be reserved for applications that have exceptional merit, a broad regional impact, or multiple collaborative partners.

Fine Arts Fund Emergency Grants
The application process is year-round.
Emergency grants of up to $500 are available on an ad hoc basis. Groups must have a true emergency and not have a problem related to poor planning. Past emergency grants have been issued for theft, fire, and flooding.

Paul Sittenfeld Revolving Loan Fund
The application process is year-round.
Loans up to $2,000 are available to eligible smaller arts organizations for 6 months with no interest. Loans are generally utilized by an organization awaiting public grants monies or for upfront production support when ticket sales are assured.
