Planned Giving – The Arts & Philanthropy

The most compelling task facing the arts is to endow the future. Arts organizations are the cultural legacy of our society, and endowments are the pathway to building capacity for arts organizations. Founded with a planned gift from Charles Phelps and Anna Sinton Taft, the Fine Arts Fund is the only charitable organization in the Greater Cincinnati region that focuses exclusively on providing much-needed operating support to all types of arts.

Growing and leveraging the endowed assets of Fine Arts Fund and the organizations it supports is essential to health of the entire region.

Why do the arts need endowments?

  • Endowments are a consistent source of operating revenue, especially in fluctuating economic environments.
  • Endowments provide a means of increasing the operating budget of an organization at a rate that exceeds inflation.
  • Endowment dollars provide a source of revenue for new projects and programs.
  • Endowments promote financial stability and fiscal responsibility.
  • Endowments create longevity and independence for charitable organizations.

The Fine Arts Fund’s planned giving efforts focus on the recognition and stewardship of donors, partnerships with professional financial advisors, and collaboration with member and associate organizations to help them grow their endowments.

If you have a passion for the arts, Fine Arts Fund can help turn your dreams into reality through a variety of tax-advantaged methods for planning your gift. We take the time to understand your motivation for giving, your desire to make a difference in the community, and your financial situation.
